2022 BMW Championship Tee Times: Final Round Pairings | Golf News and Tour Information

The PGA Tour is heading to Delaware for the first time – big news if you’re a Delawarean – for the second leg of the 2022 FedEx Cup playoffs…the BMW Championship.

The top 70 players on the FedEx Cup eligibility list qualify to compete at Wilmington Country Club, with Will Zalatoris holding the top spot following his maiden PGA Tour win last week at TPC Southwind. Willy Z is joined by Scottie Scheffler – who just missed a cut despite entering the playoffs as the No. 1 seed – Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth and defending FedEx Cup champion Patrick Cantlay.

After a topsy-turvy display at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, Cameron Smith will miss this week’s event with a nagging hip injury that worsened over the weekend. He is currently in third place and is resting to be able to compete in the Tour Championship next week.

The BMW Championship will look to replicate last year’s compelling finish which included a six-hole playoff between Cantlay and Bryson DeChambeau. The duo finished 27 under for the week at Maryland’s Caves Valley Golf Club, with Cantlay having a magnificent putting performance when he gained 14.6 strokes on the green alone. Not bad.

The winner will receive 2,000 FedEx Cup points and a $2.7 million discount on the $15 million purse.
