2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship Tee Times: Final Round Pairings | Golf News and Tour Information

The FedEx Cup playoffs are here, and they’re coming to Memphis for the first time, a city that has hosted a PGA Tour event every year since 1958. The FedEx St. Jude Classic at TPC Southwind features a field of 121 players (four playoff-eligible pros are missing due to injury or personal reasons), with each player not only looking to win, but also to make sure they make it into the top 70 of the roster FedEx Cup points on Sunday night so they can move on to the second elimination round.

Officially, the reigning tournament champion is Tony Finau; he was the winner of last year’s first playoff event, The Northern Trust, at Liberty National in a Monday playoff. He enters the 2022 playoffs on a hot streak, having won back-to-back events at the 3M Open and the Rocket Mortgage Classic. He will be joined by an impressive field that includes Scottie Scheffler, the No. 1 seed entering the playoffs, Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas and Patrick Cantlay, winner of the FedEx Cup last year. Cantlay is trying to become the first player to win the title two years in a row.

Get out of Memphis and head to the BMW Championship at Wilmington (Del.) Country Club for the second playoff. The top 30 in the FedEx Cup standings then head to the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.

The winner of the TPC Southwind will receive 2,000 FedEx Cup points (Scheffler starts the week with 3,555.98) and a prize of $2.7 million from a purse of $15 million.
