Brooklyn AHEPA Chapter 41 Sponsors 11th Annual Greek Community Golf Outing

BROOKLYN, NY – The eleventh annual Brooklyn AHEPA Chapter 41 golf outing provided another successful day of friendly competition in support of Brooklyn’s Greek communities. After postponing the event in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chapter redoubled its efforts in 2021 and successfully staged its biggest event ever. This year’s outing took place on June 17 at the Dyker Beach Golf Course in Brooklyn.

Golfers enjoyed a continental breakfast to start the day off right. Each golfer received a gift bag containing golf tees, balls, cigars and other items donated by various sponsors. Brooklyn Maids of Athena helped register golfers, sell raffles and distribute gift bags.

Prof. Gerasimos Makris of Holy Cross Church in Bay Ridge blessed the golfers before they took over the entire course for a 1 p.m. shotgun tee time. New York State Assemblyman Michael Tannousis, who is also a brother of AHEPA 41 from Brooklyn, was in attendance and welcomed everyone, including AHEPA Supreme President, Jimmy Kokotas.
