Kirk Cousins Buys Local Michigan Golf Course

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is having a successful season with the team in 2022, with the Vikings currently trailing 7-1 in the National Football Conference North Division.

Adding to his success on the course, the 34-year-old is certainly busy, as it was recently reported that Cousins, along with his wife Julie, have purchased the Clearbrook Golf Course in Saugatuck, Michigan.

In a letter to the community, Kirk and Julie said, “Our family recently purchased Clearbrook Golf Course from our longtime friends and owners, Jim and Candy Jeltema. They managed the course for many years, making Clearbrook a place of connection and fun for our entire community.

They added that: ‘Our family would prefer this not to become a housing estate or summer rental community. We want to invest in this great community, and we see this purchase as an opportunity to do so,”

Although the terms of the sale, which did not include the course’s restaurant or clubhouse, were not disclosed, we do know that the site was used as a qualifying venue for the Michigan Open and was hosted a handful of tournaments, including the West Michigan PGA Championship.
